Charles Leroy Binkley, 85, of Blackduck, MN died on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in his home at the Senior Living Apartments in Blackduck, MN.

Charles was born on September 17, 1937 in Bemidji, MN, the son Henry and Irene (Puffe) Binkley. He attended school until the eighth grade.

Charles worked for Lakehead Pipeline in Bemidji, MN for many years. He enjoyed dealing in Scrap Iron, which he did for several decades throughout the Iron Range of Northeast Minnesota and later in Bemidji. He enjoyed fishing. Charles was a unique character who lived life on his own terms. He will be missed by many people in many different ways.

Charles is survived by his 3 daughters, Kathy (Kevin) Wernberg of Nisswa, MN, Lynette (Tim) Burnard of Baxter, MN and Mindy (Jeremy) Binkley of Blackduck, MN; granddaughter, Farah Binkley, grandson, Brody Binkley, and great grandson, Grayson Binkley, all of Blackduck, MN; several other grandchildren and great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Kim Berenter of Brainerd, MN.

He is preceded in death by 2 daughters, Lori Bereuter and Debbie Binkley; son, Richard Binkley; his parents, Henry and Irene Binkley; 7 brothers, Edward, Bob, Philip, Lawrence, Leonard, Melvin and Harry; and 2 sisters, Viola and Caroline.

A gathering to celebrate the life and memory of Charles Binkley will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at The Pond in Blackduck, MN. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Nebish Township Cemetery in Nebish, MN.
