Charles Jason Curtis, 24, of Fosston, MN, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born on February 4, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Bagley High School in 2017 and eagerly stepped forward into adulthood, working as a tradesman in the communities of Bagley and Fosston, but not before living it up with his buddies in a rental house on Bemidji State campus.

The shining moment of Charles’ life was the birth of his daughter, Isabella, on the first day of April, 2019. Isabella instantly became the center of Charles’ universe.

Charles, better known as Chuck, Chucky, or Chuckles, was well equipped for the love, care, and responsibility required to raise a child as he was the older brother of three younger siblings and two younger stepbrothers. Starting out as one tough toddler, Chuck would soon grow out of his rough and tumble approach to life and mature into a gentle giant. Always family-minded, Chuck would proceed with an inherent selflessness as he took care and watched over his younger siblings, assuming the qualities of a protective father while simultaneously remaining the humorous and playful big brother.

Chuckles did have a certain sass about him that he would occasionally have to let loose. It was more of a personal compass, gracefully guiding him through life’s difficult situations. He would also find himself being the peacekeeper, wholeheartedly volunteering for the position.

Chuck’s consistent thoughtfulness and his awareness of the sentimental significance of time spent with family was illuminated through his endless devotion and his radiant love; a love which will be felt always and forever.

Chuck’s family members include: his mother Elizabeth Gamber, his siblings Delron Gamber, Alfred Gamber, and Grey Gamber, his daughter Isabella Curtis, his grandmother Dana Ballard Vaughn, his grandfather Bobby Vaughn, his grandmother Carla Curtis, and his grandfather Steve Curtis. As well as his stepfather Matthew Gamber, his stepbrothers Blaize Gamber and Tahj Gamber, and many beloved aunties, uncles and cousins.
