life story
A GREAT DAD, GRANDFATHER
Charles lived a happy and fulfilling life to the very end. He celebrated his 100th Birthday with family just before his passing. Charlie loved to laugh with family and watch sports.
Charlie grew up on St Paul’s West side as the youngest of five boys to Samual and Sarah Doneshefsky. Times were tough growing up during the Depression and losing both parents by his 16th birthday taught him how to persevere, work hard and enjoy simple pleasures. He met his partner for life Ella and married in 1956. After she passed in 2004, he still referred to “We” when telling stories or referring to their house and the life they lived together. Give him a good game on TV - Baseball, Football, Basketball and a hamburger and he had a perfect day!
Charlie will be missed!
