Loving Father, Brother, Friend, Son and Super-Fan Uncle

Our Chad, sometimes known as Jeep, was the go-to guy for life advice, a shoulder to lean on, a great time, major construction work and a winning bags partner.

Chad Eugene Douglas

August 4th, 2023, Chad Douglas (48) passed away unexpectedly at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

Chad was born February 10th, 1975 in Corning, Iowa to parents Konnie Marn and Clarence Nejdl. He was later adopted by stepfather Mike Douglas. Mike was in the military so the family moved from Nebraska, to Texas, to Arkansas, to Minnesota, and to Iowa before finally moving to Minnesota to stay. Chad attended Coon Rapids High School, class of 1993, and Dunwoody Institute where he received a diploma in Graphic Arts.

Chad never lived life half-way and had a natural way of befriending everyone he met. He was a true outdoor enthusiast. Always up for a round of golf, or a weekend fishing trip. If you couldn't find him on the lake, at the golf course, or on his Harley, just look around for the nearest niece, nephew or friends kid - if they had a game, he was there cheering them on with as much gusto as he did for his own kids. Never one to want to sit down and relax, winter time was first and foremost for ice fishing. He also enjoyed bowling and helping his brothers and friends with their home improvement projects. Jack of all trades doesn't even come close to covering the knowledge he had.

The smile on his face and distinctive laugh lit up the room, and he truly enjoyed getting a laugh out of everyone - and would go out of his way to get it.

Chad is survived by his son Blake, daughter Kayla (Ricardo), grandchildren Easton and Aubrey, mother Konnie, brothers Chris (Liz) and Brian (Michelle), sisters Brandi and Ashley, nieces and nephews - Logan, Sydney, Lexi, Ty, Morgan, Cayden, Bohdi, Joey, Nick and Sammy, Grandfather Jack Gadberry and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by many friends who became family to him.

He was preceded in death by fathers Clarence and Mike, niece Malaya and grandparents Peg Gadberry and Ervin and Dolores Nejdl.
