Catherine Lee Houston-Cameron

August 4, 1969 – December 6, 2023

Hudson, WI 54016, USA

Catherine Lee Houston Cameron was born in Boston, MA on August 4, 1969 and passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 54 years old. Catherine is survived by her husband of 15 yrs. Kevin Cameron, daughter Allie Enberg, and sons Jack Enberg, Carter Cameron, Craig Cameron, Neal Cameron (Emily) and her beautiful dog Maggie, as well as her mother Barbara Houston, brother David Houston (Beth), sister Jennifer Houston (Barry), many nieces and nephews and her loving Uncle John and family.

As a young child Catherine lived in California and moved to Minnesota where her father got a job and where the family settled. When Catherine was in grade school at Island Lake Elementary, one of her teachers thought she talked too much, but Catherine was far beyond her years in many ways. She was full of energy and ideas. She was incredibly intelligent and highly intuitive. She was on the Mounds View HS dance team and was a cheerleader. She did very well academically graduating and shortly after moving to Florida.

Catherine completed her Bachelor's degree at Troy University and her Masters degree in Public Administration at San Diego State University while living in Florida before returning to Minnesota. Catherine was also a very successful executive, working in the technology industry at many companies including Ameriprise Financial Services, Randstad Technologies, United Health Group, Aetna, and WellsFargo in Minnesota leaving behind the impact of being an agile transformation scrum master. She also partnered with her husband to help launch small businesses and did so much for the people she loved.

She carried a lightness and gentleness, and in the family was by far the funniest family member trying to bring laughs and light heartedness wherever she went, especially to an overly serious crowd oftentimes. Catherine loved her many pets over the years especially Maggie who was with her at the end. She was often the first person that family members shared their hardest experiences with as she knew how to listen and offer supportive advice and care. She enjoyed a clean and peaceful home, practiced her faith in ways that were meaningful to her, and lived her life for her family and close friends.

Catherine left this world too young, and will be so desperately missed by her family and friends. It gives us solace to know she will be with her Dad and other family members in heaven free of suffering.

Catherine’s public celebration of life service will be held at Crossroads Church at 7955 Ivystone Ave S, Cottage Grove, MN on Friday, April 26th at 11am. She will be interned next to her father Herschel Richard Houston at St. John’s Abbey in St. Cloud Minnesota on Saturday, April 27th at 11am with only close family members in attendance.
