Carrie Christine Foley, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 2, 2026, at her home in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints (Psalm 116:15).

She was born on December 9, 1939, in Mahnomen, Minnesota, to LaRue and Lucille (Doll) Miller. She was baptized at age 4 and confirmed in the Catholic faith as an adult. During high school, Carrie played the piano accordion at a bar in Chokio during the

band’s intermissions. She continued playing for many years, entertaining family and friends. On April 22, 1958, she married Charles Edward Foley in Chokio, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with four children. In 1970, they bought a small farm in Inver

Grove Heights, where Carrie lived for the rest of her life. She worked outside the home as a secretary at Brown & Bigelow, McKee Floor Covering, GNB Manufacturing, and Danner Landscaping & Sales. Carrie enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, bowling, reading, and playing her accordion.

Carrie is survived by her children: Russell (Julie) Foley, Julie (Gary) Mueller, Jeffery (Theresa) Foley, and John (Carrie) Foley. She is also survived by her grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, sister and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Foley, and other beloved family members.

Carrie’s life was a blessing to her family and friends. As a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed. Carrie will be remembered for the love she gave, the memories she created, and the special place she held in the hearts

of those who knew and loved her.
