Carole passed away on February 1, 2026. Survived by her children Rick (Melanie), Scott (Annette), Jimmy, Linda (Tom) and son-in-law Joe and daughter-in- law Susan; 15 grandchildren & their spouses; 28 great-grandchildren; brother-in law Greg (Beats) and sisters-in-law Julia, Judy and Barb; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Dick, daughter Angie and son Jeffrey.

Carole was born on March 23, 1942, to parents Glen and Helen Delp in South St Paul, Minnesota. She married her loving husband Dick Vasterling in 1960. They had 6 children and lived in St. Paul. For most of her time in Minnesota, she was a homemaker. She eventually was a lunch lady and church secretary at St. Andrew’s. In 1988, along with their youngest son Jimmy, Dick and Carole bought an RV and moved to Ft. Myers’s Florida. In the early years of living in Florida, she loved to play at the beach with Jimmy and ride her bicycle. She eventually became a cake decorator and bakery manager. She loved to travel to visit her other children, nieces, nephews and friends. She was passionate about knitting, crocheting and making cards. When Dick had health issues, she became his main caregiver. They remained in Florida until 2014 and then moved back to Oakdale, Minnesota. After Dick passed, Carole accompanied her children, their families and nieces on numerous trips. She was up for any adventure. Her last 2 years were spent at the Estates at Greely in Stillwater Minnesota. The staff adored her. Carole was sweet, loving, funny and could even be sassy. She will be greatly missed by all.
