Carol Marleen Allison, 76, of Park Rapids, Minnesota passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 after an extended battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Carol was born April 25, 1947 in Bemidji, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Clarence and Erma (Adkins) Schmidt. She and her 5 siblings were raised on Little Wolf Lake near Cass Lake, Minnesota. She married Ron Paulbicke and they had one son. After Ron’s death, she later married Chuck Allison and they spent 31 years together.

Carol worked in Park Rapids at Antlers Restaurant, Monika’s Fabric Store, and finished her career at Park Rapids High School in food service. Carol enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening, and gifting her canned goods (“Please return the jar”). Carol helped Chuck with the construction of their homebuilt airplane. They flew to numerous parts of the country to meet up with other aviation friends. After retirement their travels involved wintering in Arizona in their small travel trailer. Many friendships were formed with other small trailer enthusiasts.

Carol is survived by her husband Chuck; son Ron (Kay) Paulbicke; granddaughters Kyra (Tony), Terra, and Ciann; great granddaughters Marie and Melina; brother Richard (Arlyce) Schmidt of Tampa, Florida; brother Glenn (Adele) Schmidt of Bemidji, Minnesota; sister-in-law Jean (Jim) Schmidt; many nieces and nephews; and her camping family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Sharon Ehleringer, brothers Keith Schmidt and Lynn Schmidt.
