Carol Elaine Lundberg

February 22, 1934 – April 18, 2023

life story

On April 18, Carol Lundberg (89) went to live with Jesus in her heavenly home. Carol was a much loved mother, sister, Grandma, Great Grandma and Auntie. She will be greatly missed by her children – Les (Holly), Jim (Donna), Carolyn Jacobson (Scott) and Gail Oddo (Dan); her grandchildren, Eric Lundberg, Steven Lundberg (Natalie), Katie Felix (Aldo); Ryan Oddo, Tyler Oddo (Tara); her great grandchildren; Nora, Eloise, and Anna Felix; her sister Phyllis Anderson (Cliff) and her brother Glen Larson (Sue).

Carol loved Jesus Christ and lived her life to glorify and serve Him. She was committed to sharing her faith and wanted others to know Jesus as she did. She worked and volunteered at her church in Arlington Heights IL, as well as her church in Sarasota FL. When her children were small, she hosted Vacation Bible School in her home; later she continued to serve in various capacities within the church. In retirement in FL, she served within her church and in a prison ministry, and also began a Bible Study with her neighbors that outgrew her home and continues today.

Carol was born in Chicago IL and married the love of her life, Lloyd, in 1954. She lived her life to the full – surrounding herself with people with whom she could serve and laugh. Her constant smile, sense humor and energetic personality made a positive impact on so many people. While we will miss her here on earth, we are rejoicing that she is joining her Savior. She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd.
