life story
Loving husband, brother, uncle & friend...his home was always welcoming for gatherings & celebrations.
From "Gone Fishing" (by Delmar Pepper):
I've finished life's chores assigned to me, so put me on a boat headed out to sea. Please send along my fishing pole, for I've been invited to the fishin' hole...
...Don't worry or feel sad for me, I'm fishing with the Master of the Sea.
About Mike
Mike was a kind and gentle soul. He loved his wife and family. His home was the center of family gatherings and celebrations.
Mike enjoyed fishing from a very young age. He was his dad's fishing buddy. He was a talented mechanic, and worked in jobs that used that talent. His recent employment was with the St. Paul Police Department as a maintenance engineer. Mike was still working at that position until he was no longer able to work due to illness. His hobbies besides fishing were cooking & baking. He was especially known for his delicious chocolate chip cookies.
After high school (Harding H. S., St. Paul), Mike joined the Marines. He married Teresa Asoro September 8, 2018. Teresa has brought much joy to his life, and even got him dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Cheryl. Mike is survived by his wife Teresa, 8 siblings, several nieces and nephews, and one aunt (Phyllis).
Mike passed away August 18, 2022 due to complications from gastric cancer.
