Candice “Candy” Belle (Morey) Adkins, 28, of Clearbrook, Minnesota died on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at her home in Clearbrook.

Candy was born on March 12, 1994 in Del Rio, Texas. She moved up to Northern Minnesota when she was younger. She graduated from Bagley High School in 2012.

Over the years she worked various jobs, but she was most proud of being a Mail Carrier for USPS for the last two plus years. On August 1, 2015, Candy was united in marriage to Kyle Adkins. She was an amazing mother to her daughter and made sure she knew everything she could about how to raise such a wonderful and special little girl. Her daughter was her world.

Candy was talented in so many ways and was very artistic, though she never gave herself enough credit. She knew all the lyrics to the songs she heard and would sing her heart out, not caring if she wasn’t always on key. She never wanted to be the center of attention, but made sure others felt loved and cared for. Some of her favorite things to do were playing games and spending time with her family and dogs. She enjoyed riding her 4-wheeler, often getting stuck in the mud.

She always loved shopping, especially for clothes. In her teens she worked at a clothing store and always seemed to spend much of her paycheck on new outfits.

Candy had the biggest smile and was a rock for her family and friends. She will be tremendously missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Felicity Adkins; her biological parents, David Barajas and Amelia Priest; her adoptive parents, Scott and Monica Morey; her biological siblings, Ruby Agustin, Diamond Rucker, and David Morey; her grandparents, Shelva Morey, and Vernon and Linda Cross; her husband and friend, Kyle Adkins; her in-laws, Mike and Sue Adkins; and many other family.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Don Morey; her uncle, Larry Lavoy; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
