Tribute to Brooke, Our Sister and Daughter

Brooke Katherine LaSota, age 27, of Roseville, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 due to an undetected pulmonary condition.

Brooke’s beautiful soul will continue to thrive in the hearts of many. She was truly a bright light with an infectious laugh and a radiating smile. Brooke was filled with passion for all forms of art, dogs, cooking, helping others in need, and cheering on her football teams.

Beginning in her toddler years, Brooke loved the art of creative cooking and inventive baking. Brooke created many delicious, comforting foods such as crepes, homemade pasta, glazed paninis, artistic christmas cookies, and crème brulée. Brooke’s love for cooking was matched only by her love for family, friends, and her dogs Bailey and Louie.

Brooke would often concoct yummy specialities for her doggies. Brooke would laugh and joke that her human family members may come in second after her first love for her doggies.

Brooke offered judgment-free kindness, generosity and compassion to all she met. In the past year, Brooke became a self-care expert, and was enjoying the bounties of a substance-free life. Without prompting or publicity, Brooke would regularly feed a homeless person she had encountered by chance while running her errands.

Brooke had a diverse, successful education and career path. Brooke graduated with high honors from Mounds View High School, attended Hamline University, as well as the University of Minnesota. Brooke recently started a new job as a Facilities Supervisor with the City of Roseville, Minnesota. She was eagerly planning her bright future. Prior to this recent pursuit, Brooke served many customers/clients with pleasure in a variety of industries.

Brooke would happily complete each day in her cozy home with her best friend Logan, snuggling Louie dog, and enjoying the fruits of her labor. The visual and tangible artistic pieces that Brooke created over her lifetime adorn her colorful home.

Brooke is survived by her father Jimmy LaSota (Jennie) of Shoreview, her mother Lisa LaSota of Minneapolis, sister Paige LaSota of Minneapolis, brothers Jonathan and Corwin of Shoreview, best friend Logan of Roseville, and dog Louie.
