Brian’s Life

At eleven months old, Brian met Larry Geng, the man who would become his Dad for life. He graduated from South High School in Minneapolis in 1996. In 2011, Brian reconnected with his former high school sweetheart, Kristina Warner. He gained a family, becoming Dad to Kaya, Rian and Kathryn (Kat). On August 13, 2016, Brian and Kristina married. On March 17, 2023 he became Papa to J’Anthony and the two formed a special bond. Brian’s life was defined by a deep love for his family, a spirited passion for cars, and artistic talent and caring shown in his artwork, home-made meals and caramels.

Brian lost a courageous, 23-month battle with bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma) on April 17, 2026. He was surrounded by those dearest to him. Brian is preceded in death by his Dad, Larry Geng; Grandmother, Edna Lind; and sister, Tiffany Bazewicz. He leaves behind his wife, Kristina Hurd; children Kaya, Rian and Kathryn(Kat); grandson, J’Anthony; mother, LouAnn Blade (Larry); brothers,Jamie Hurd (Felicia), Jeffery Geng (Stacy Light), Michael Bazewicz (Chantell), and sister Tina Moscoso, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and chosen family members.
