Bogdan Ezechil
September 29, 1958 – March 4, 2020
Oslo, Norvegia
life story
Yogi, philosopher, writer, engineer
Bogdan was born in Romania but moved to Oslo in 1990.
Romania was just "recovering" from the communist regime and he took the chance right after Ceausescu fall to immigrate in Norway (at the revolution in 1989 he was around 31 years old and was daring enough to speak in Bucharest at one of the balconies shouting anticommunism messages with a group of revolutionaries, risking of course being shot)
His father died before he and his twin brother (Felix) were born. His twin brother has not resembled him, neither as character nor by looks.
He was raised by his mother, Doina and by his step father (family name Cretu).
He had 2 children with his first wife (Liliana), Luiza and Silvana and remarried 2 times more after.
He graduated Polytechnics in Bucharest, he was an engineer, writer, philosopher, passioned about homeopathy, yoga practitioneer for more than 40 years, an orthodox and God believer.
He wrote 2 poetry books: Focul Sacru (Sacred fire) and Etern-femininul, zeiesc viclesug and also in 2017- Libertatea de a fi om - Metafizica Luminilor Spiritualitatii islamice (The liberty of being human - Islamic Spirituality Metaphisics of lights).
He shared his yoga practice with his very closed ones in which he reported mystic experiences such as the Eye of Shiva in his youth and going more in depth reaching high realms which the simple people cannot understand.
Just few of his favourite writers were Ken Wilber and Adi Da but he had his walls covered in books and considered the ones that do not read are very poor minded.
He loved living his life to the fullest, one foot in the very spiritual world and with one foot on the carnal pleasures of life. He liked being surrounded by his childhood friends while he was visiting his country of origin.
He was admired by some and hated by others, he was very transparent in showing his disagreements.
