Loving mother and fancy lady

Beverly A. Sorenson passed away with family by her side, May 10, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN. A celebration of life event will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Eden Prairie Senior Living at 8480 Franlo Road, Community Room 2nd floor, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Beverly was born on October 19, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN to Perry and Cecil Hanson. She was a Patrick Henry High School graduate. She worked at Hunt Trucking and a Realtor.

Beverly lived in Plymouth and Eden Prairie. Beverly supported her children and grandchildren by attending their many school activities, sporting events and spending time on the boat. In her spare time, Beverly loved playing games like Dominoes, Play Nine, and Hand, Foot, and Toe. She was fiercely competitive at her games. She was very active with all of her different friend groups. She loved spending time on the water whether it be on Lake Minnetonka or in Florida.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children: David Sorenson of Plymouth, MN, Todd Sorenson of Eden Prairie, MN, Shawn (Rich) Petron of Prior Lake, MN, Jennifer (Steve) Hanowski of Prior Lake, MN. Grandchildren: Shanna Quintero, Zach (Madison) Petron, Cassandra (Nate – partner) Petron. Sister: Betty Knutson, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by parents Perry and Cecil Hanson, brother and sister-in-law: Bernie and Colleen Hanson, sisters: Bonnie Thomas and Barb (Mick)Long and brother-in-law, Jim Knutson.

Rest in peace Beverly. We love you deeply. You will be missed.
