Betty Jean Yager

life story

Betty Jean Yager, born June 4th, 1949 at Grant hospital in Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday morning, April 27th, 2025 surrounded by family. Betty was family oriented and always wanted to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. She loved being outside working in her yard and supervising her family when doing it. When it was game night, Betty was the first person at the table with her snacks and Pepsi ready to play. She enjoyed baking with her grandchildren and great grandchildren during the holidays, and making a perfect mess in the process. Betty worked two jobs to take care of her family then got the opportunity to pursue her dream of helping others and she took it. She became an STNA and chose to work at National Church residence where she completed her journey of becoming an LPN. She worked here for 30 plus years until she retired at the age of 65.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, Herman Motter, mother, Ethel Brown, Son, Michael Kierns, husband, Bart Yager, sisters, Dorothy and Linda Castle, brother David Motter, son in law Chad Boyce.

Continued on in life, she leaves a brother, Danny Motter, sister Esther Parker. Children Dennis (Robin) kierns, Roy Kierns, Lisa Rinehart, and Misty Boyce. Grandchildren Dennis Jr, John, Anthony, Zachary, Sandra (Mike), Kayla (Kirk), Krysta (Andy), Michael (Julie), Tessa, Katelyn (Dustin), Alexandria, Danielle (Ronald), Ashley (Chad). Great grandchildren Shawn, Brooklyn, Jayden, Robert, Alyssa, Savannah, Daniel, Bellamae, Maria, Michael, Lexi, Mia, Ava, Bella, Stella, Michael Jr, Railinne, Avianna, Payton, Amelia, and Liam.
