Barry Lee Sather

Barry Lee Sather Age 82, of Ramsey died peacefully at home on August 23, 2025.

He is survived by his loving wife Verna, daughters Denise (Larry) Logas, Dana (Kurt) Santi, brothers Mick (Trisha) Sather, Jim Sather, and sister Bonnie (Donald) Sevre, grandchildren Vanessa (Ben) McNally, Kody (Thi) Frenette, Casey (Brad) Logas, Austin (Torrie) Frenette, Damian Logas, great grandchildren Kai McNally and Coleson Frenette.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents Donald & Beatrice and nephew Owen Kipp Sevre.

Barry was born in Morris Mn and lived on a farm throughout his childhood. He owned and operated Barry Sather Truck Service in Brooklyn Park MN, until retirement (kinda), Barry & Verna did venture to North Dakota and started a mobile diesel repair service in the oil fields. He never did retire and continued to work part time.

Barry enjoyed golfing and achieved 2 hole's in one! He also had the need for speed, and his 1948 Anglia did just that. His good friend Mitch had helped build it, he gave him 3 requirements 1st it had to look like his first one from the 60's, 2nd it had to carry his golf clubs, 3rd it has to do wheelies or your fired. This car did win King Street lite 3 years in a row at his favorite place Brainerd International Raceway.

Barry will be missed by so many good friends that he made throughout his lifetime from the trucking business, racing, golfing, and dancing. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, one liners and his BIG and generous heart.
