Barbara Vergin (nee Carlson)

A loving wife, mother and friend...

Barbara passed away unexpectedly April 20 with husband by her side. Barbara was born August 3, 1942, to Emil Carlson and Vivian (Morris). She grew up in Robbinsdale, Minnesota where she made many childhood friendships that she cherished for her entire life. She later attended St. Cloud State University where she met and married her husband of nearly 60 years, Larry Vergin. Barb and Larry were blessed with three children – Scott (Kim), Todd (Linda), Dana (Gene Foote) and six grandchildren – Josh, Jack, Caitlyn, Payton, Alexandria and Landon.

Barb retired from General Mills and spent her later years quilting, visiting with friends and enjoying time with her family.

In addition to the above Barb is survived by sister Beverly (Richard Briden), Nephew Blair and many other family and friends.

A private family celebration of life for Barbara will be held this summer.

The family wishes to thank the many who have already reached out to express their condolences through cards, social media, and email. It was Barbs wishes that any memorials be directed to the Humane Society of Minnesota.
