Barbara Ruth Preston, age 90, died Friday, March 18, 2022 at her home at Tamarack Court in Bemidji, MN.

Barbara was born September 12, 1931 in Marcell, MN, the daughter of Glenn and Bessie (Aldrich) Benson. She was raised and educated in Marcell and Deer River, MN.

Barbara married David Preston on Feb. 22, 1953. She worked at Bemidji State University Walnut Hall for 30 years. She also worked along side her husband at their farm in Sugar Bush Township raising cattle. She enjoyed gardening, crafting and mostly loved baking and cooking for family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Terri (Edward) Johnson,

grandchildren Amanda (Arne) Wick,

Eddie (Natalie) Johnson,

great grandchildren Margie Anderson,

Avery and Anna Wick,

and brother William (Betty) Benson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David, granddaughter Sarah Anderson, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

First Baptist Church 1555 Paul Bunyan Dr NW, Bemidji, MN 56601, USA

Pastor Terry and Marge Bernstrom will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji, MN.
