Barbara J. Tonkin

Barbara Jean Tonkin passed away on September 14, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana. She was 66 years old.

Born on April 28, 1959, in Hastings, Minnesota, Barbara grew up surrounded by family and the values that would shape her life. Throughout the years, she remained deeply connected to those closest to her and carried with her a strong sense of resilience and care.

Barbara is survived by her husband Brian Tonkin. Sons- Jacob Matz and Anthony Heimer. Grandchildren- Jared Matz(Kelsey), Ayden Matz, and Alana Heimer.

Siblings- Guy Matz(Rochelle), Bart Matz, and Eric Matz(Jennifer).

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Scott Matz.
