About Barbara

Barbara lived her entire life in the Twin Cities attending Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota.

Barbara always liked to say that “good things come in 3’s.” She quite often referred to her “three sets of 3’s.” Her three children Linda, Tommy, and Patti; being one of three sisters herself; and her three favorite things which were spending summers at the family lake cabin, singing with the University of Minnesota chorus, and playing badminton at the YMCA where she made so many friends.

Barbara thought it was important to stay active – both body and mind.

She enjoyed walking around Lake Nokomis with her dog Buffy and never missed a day working the crossword puzzle in the morning paper.

To honor Barbara’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. A small lake side gathering with family will be held on her birthday, July 21, 2024.

Donations can be made in Barbara’s name to the American Cancer Society.
