At age 85, Barb was called home to be with her Lord on Friday, December 10th, 2021. She was born on September 5th, 1936 in Minneapolis, daughter of Steve and Violet (Steneide) Moneyhun.

Barb grew up near 29th and Nicollet in South Minneapolis and later moved to 49th and Logan, a block from Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, where she was a member for many years. She attended Minneapolis Vocational High School and graduated in 1954. A few years out of high school she met her future husband, John Lehman, while participating in one of their favorite pass-times, roller-skating. After tying the knot on January 31 of 1959, they moved to Blaine, MN to raise their family. They were a busy family and Barb spent much of her time around the boys various activities – especially in the hockey arena as a “hockey mom.”

In the mid-eighties, a few years after the boys were all out of high school, Barb and John moved “south of the river” to Eagan and have been there ever since.

In addition to the many activities surrounding her three sons, Barb was a crafter, garage-saler, and family tree researcher. She loved decorating for the many seasons as well as doing anything that involved family, both immediate and extended. To her, family meant everything. Along with her hobbies, Barb also worked as an inspector for many years; first at Univac, followed by Medtronic and Anagram.

Barb’s sight and health began to deteriorate over the last 6-7 years. Despite that, she kept doing what she could at home, hoping to have that one last garage sale. Her husband John provided her care and comfort until the very end when Barb lost her battle with COPD and pneumonia, and was able to join the rest of her family in Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her sisters June Kjeseth, Betty Jarzyna , Elva Bakken, her brother Reece Moneyhun, and grandson Jack Lehman. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Lehman and their three sons, Bob (Pavia) Lehman of Altamonte Springs, FL; Brian (Jane) Lehman of Plymouth, MN; and Brad (Brenda) Lehman of Clarkston, MI. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
