On June 03, 2023 while attempting to cross the highway late in the evening in Prichard, Alabama Barbara lost her life. Barbara never met a stranger and she touched so many lives. Barbara has been greatly missed.
Proceeded by her death, (daughter) Rashelle Blevin, (grandfather) Alton Moore, (grandmother) Jewel Moore, (sister) Cathryn Panczner, ( nephew) Ben Crouse. Survived by her death, (husband) Nick Nixon, (mother) Kathryn J. Griffiths, (father) Warren Norsworthy, (brother) Ken Foxx, (sister) Tammy Gaskill, (brother) Michael Griffiths, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.
True to Life
Barbara was born August 20, 1964 at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina to Warren D. Norsworthy and Kathryn J. Griffiths.
Barbara along with her siblings grew up in Griffin, Georgia as well as the Cape May County, New Jersey area.
Barbara worked in the hospitality industry for many years in the Cape May County area. Barbara became the manager at the Dollar Tree in Rio Grande.
Eventually Barbara met and married Thomas Blevin. They would go on to have a baby girl whom they named Rashelle Lee Blevin. Barbara lost her daughter suddenly and unexpectedly on September 10, 2000.
Later through the years Barbara divorced Tommy and married Nick Nixon. Barbara and Nick lived in Springhill, Florida until they relocated to South Carolina to be closer to Barbara's Dad. Barbara and Nick had recently moved to Alabama prior to her untimely death.
