About Barbara

Barbara Ann Anderson née Lound was born July 2, 1961, in Brunswick, Georgia.

She passed away July 15, 2022, while living in Mount Bethel, PA, with her daughter Sarah Anderson.

Barbara’s parents Herbert D. “Bud” Lound and Nona I. Lound née Atkeisson preceded her in their passing.

Barbara is survived by sisters Alaynia Lound, Renee Kerckhove, and Karen Cavalli and brother John H. Lound III.

She is also survived by children Sarah Anderson, Ian Anderson, and Miranda Chambers and nieces Jillian Decent, Lindsey Knoll, Amanda Moses, and Tanner Kerckhove.

Barbara’s beloved cats Chance and Beauty also survive her.

Barbara gave birth to her first child, Miranda, while living in Crosby, MN. She received her degree in Special Education from St. Cloud University. While living in St. Cloud she married. Her spouse's work took Barbara and their family to Gulfport, AL, Maryland, and New Jersey. Barbara was not married at the time of her passing.,

Barbara taught Special Education in several schools including two in New Jersey.

Barbara was an exuberant free spirit who was as fierce as a mama lion in defense of her children. She was deeply intuitive by nature, and she explored spirituality in her own independent way. She helped those close to her with the power of her ability to see accurately into a dynamic or situation.

Her emotions were vibrant and sometimes fast changing. She was true to herself in this way; if an emotion swept her, she did not try to tamp it down.

Her emotional honesty was sometimes bracing (if you were on the receiving end), but there was no malice in her expression of that honesty.

She had a beautiful laugh; we will miss getting to hear that peel of delight.

We will miss her presence in the world. We miss her now.

The sisters and brother of Barbara A. Anderson.
