Our Aurora

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bailey Giulia Wester, who unexpectedly left this world on September 17th, 2025, at the age of 25. Born on December 2nd, 1999, in Ravenswood, Bailey was a vibrant soul whose spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Bailey was the cherished daughter of William Scott Wester and was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sofia Wester, and her grandfathers, Matteo Pazolini and Samuel Wester, as well as her grandmother, Marcia Wester. She leaves behind a loving family, including her devoted partner, Vaughn Haynes, her older sister, Janice Pomparo, her younger sister, Katherine Wester, and her youngest brother, Andrew Wester. Bailey is also survived by her grandmother, Giulia Pazolini; uncle, Derrick Wester; uncle, Anthony "Ant" Pazolini; and aunt, Rebecca Pazolini.

Bailey's educational journey began at Amundsen High School, where she excelled in her studies and sports. She later proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Northwestern University, where her bright personality and determination shone through. Throughout her life, Bailey was not only a dedicated student but also a passionate entertainer. She was an avid dancer, gymnast, and drummer, and she spent countless hours in the gym and pushing herself to reach new heights. Her infectious laughter and witty sense of humor made her one of the funniest people anyone could ever meet.

Bailey began her career as a lifeguard with the Parks, where her passion for swimming and working with children blossomed. She quickly transitioned into the role of a swim instructor, where she touched her community by combining her love for water and teaching in a way that inspired countless young swimmers.

Bailey's love for life was evident in everything she did. She had an undeniable zest for trying new things and encouraging those around her to step out of their comfort zones as well. Whether it was dancing, gymnastic routines, or simply sharing a laugh with friends and family, Bailey lived life to the fullest, radiating positivity and warmth in all her interactions.

A private gathering and celebration of life will be held to honor Bailey's legacy, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate her life and the impact she made on all of us.

Though Bailey's time on this earth was far too short, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, humor, and unyielding drive to inspire others. Rest in peace, dear Bails. You have left an indelible water-mark on this world, and your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
