A Life Lived Fully
Charlene's life was characterized by a love for learning and educating, generosity even in scarcity, and a devotion to her family and her Christian faith. Her favorite books were biographies. She was fascinated by human nature, and people who lived lives that served others, the Creator and the greater good. She demonstrated that kindness, and a big smile could go a long way. She hurt when others hurt, and hated that anyone should go without food or shelter, she believed the earth should be cared for, that Veterans should be treated with dignity, and in that spirit found many charities that became important to her heart.
Charlene was a dedicated daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, homemaker, and skilled educator. She met her husband Glenn, while teaching Home Economics at the college level. When he asked what it would take to marry her, she replied, “I want to see the world.” And so they did.
