About Austin

Austin Weber, a bright light with an infectious personality, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 30. He was born on August 22, 1995.

Austin was known for his genuine love of people—his warmth, easy laughter, and signature hugs made everyone feel special. He had a gift for connection and a Chris Farley–esque energy that made every moment with him unforgettable. Even in his passing, Austin touched lives through donation of his organs. If you were with Austin, you were probably laughing. His determination carried him through life’s challenges, most notably when he overcame a serious four-wheeler accident in Northern Minnesota at the age of 14.

Austin spent his early years in Ham Lake, Minnesota, before his family moved to Sandy Lake in Zimmerman. He loved being active, thrived on hard work, and was rarely still for long. He worked in Traveling Retail Construction. When he did take a break, he enjoyed time with friends and family—especially out on the water, reeling in big fish and soaking in lake life.

Music was a constant in Austin’s life. He loved singing along to his favorite songs and especially cherished attending concerts with his mom, experiences that created countless memories between them. He was also a proud Minnesota sports fan—you could always hear him cheering during a Vikings game. Austin also loved spending time in the kitchen with Christy, creating unique dishes for their family and others to enjoy.

Austin was truly One Of A Kind. He was deeply loved by many, including the love of his life, Christy Cruz, whom he first met when they were in their early teens.

He is preceded in death by his beloved baby, Houston; his father, Mike; his grandmother, Arlene; and his grandfather, Bob.

He is survived by his mother, Betsy Weber, who called him her "Best Son"; his fiancée, Christy Cruz; his stepson, Brooks; grandparents; aunts and uncles; close cousins; and the many friends whose lives he touched.
