Audrey Mae Merritt

Audrey Mae Merritt, 28, beloved daughter, sister, grand-daughter, niece, cousin, fiancé, and friend to all unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia after a vehicle accident.

Audrey was born on March 9, 1995, in Marietta, GA and graduated from Woodstock High School in 2013. On October 24th, 2020, shortly after their 4th year anniversary, she became engaged to Brandon Neese of Woodstock, GA. Audrey was a receptionist at Animal Medical & Surgical Center in Canton, Georgia. She had an amazing love for animals of all kinds - especially reptiles and cats. Audrey was beautiful, brilliant, sharp, funny, artistic, and kind. Her bright and loving personality was shown to all she met at face-value. She had a passion and talent for drawing and painting incredible portraits and other beautiful masterpieces. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends, and caring for her beloved pets, Jango and Seraphine. She had an interest in plants, livening her household with their beauty, and playing video games and role play games with her friends.

Audrey was predeceased by her grandfather, Charles Reed Merritt, her grandmother, Maurice Merritt and her bonus grandfather, Gerald McGown, DDS. Audrey is survived by her father, Charles Reed Merritt II of Acworth, GA, her mother, Karen O’Neal of McDonough, GA, her sister, Emma Merritt of Kennesaw, GA, her grandparents, Dr. Arch W. and Carmen Hunt III of Athens, TX, and her grandmother, Sue McGown of Houston, TX.
