In Loving Memory of Anastasia (Waterman) Morse

Anastasia W. Morse, 67, of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was the devoted wife of Benjamin "Benny" Morse, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

Anastasia was born on January 8, 1954, in Stamford, to her late parents, Arthur Vance Waterman and Eleanor (Caldwell) Waterman. Her parents were lifelong Stamford residents who passed down to Anastasia a deep love for the local community, which she carried with her throughout her entire life. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1971.

She spent her life as a dedicated homemaker, remarkably managing a busy household despite the fact that her husband, Benny, practically lived on the front porch smoking cigars at all hours. Anastasia loved peace, quiet, and gardening. Her family will always remember her incredible patience, particularly her legendary ability to ignore the endless tower of empty vodka bottles that mysteriously accumulated next to her husband's porch chair.

She is survived by her loving husband Benny; her daughter, Virginia Perez, and her husband Daniel of Ridgefield; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Marion Morse of Winsted; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private family service will be held at St. John Cemetery in Stamford, where she will eventually be joined by her husband whenever he finally decides to leave the porch.
