Alvanera"Alvie" D Winterbauer

A humble & kind mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

On May 4th, 2023, Alvie Winterbauer, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother passed away at Our Lady of Peace Hospice, in St. Paul, MN from Stage IV Cancer. Alvie was 77 years old. She was born in Bowlus, MN and moved to St. Paul, MN as a teen, after her young mother's death.

She devoted 23 years to raising her 3 children and doing daycare for friends and neighbors before entering the workforce. Alvie received her GED in 1988 and moved to Hopkins, MN. She worked 5yrs at Phillips-Temro Industries, 5yrs at Taco Bell, and finally 23 years at Goodwill Industries in Hopkins, MN, where she gave her all until March 23rd, 2023, retiring only due to being diagnosed with terminal cancer and becoming too ill to work.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Lucille (Krystosek) Bieniek, along with her daughter Tracy.

She is survived by her husband and friend, Fred (estranged since 1988) , two sons, Fred Jr. (Kodie) and Patrick, grandchildren Ruby, Marcus, Alex (step), Braiden (step), and Zac. 3 Sisters, Lillian, Mary Anne, and Valerie, and multiple nieces.

Her kindness of heart, sympathetic and gentle nature made a difference for so many and will be surely missed. She enjoyed a simple life of Bingo and her "daily soaps". With a humorous note: one could be sure to say she was very spirited when her "Vikes" took the field!
