Allen Dale Kemp, age 60, was born on March 28, 1962, in Columbus, Mississippi. He was adopted as an infant by Harris Dale Kemp and Mary Ruth Brown. One of three siblings, Allen is lived on by his sisters Janey and Susan. Allen spent his toddler years in Spain with his parents and sister Susan, where his father, Harris, was stationed. They moved back to Tennessee and lived in Brentwood after about 3 years in Spain.
Allen was known for his love of music. He could tell you any song by the Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, and just about any classic rock. He worked at a Radio Station for a while, as a DJ, which was the perfect fit for him.
Allen had one daughter, Mary Kemp, with Laura Patton, and he is lived on by her. Allen loved her so very much.
Allen passed away peacefully in his sleep at Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing early on Sunday morning of October 2nd. He got to spend his last couple of weeks surrounded by loved ones, laughing and telling stories with one another. He is gone but he will never be forgotten, and will always be in our hearts. Allen will be cremated and spread along his Mother and Father’s graves, whom he loved so dearly.
