Allen Blaine Eastling, 71, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, October 31, 2022 at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.

Allen Blaine Eastling was born to Donald and Alberta Eastling on October 25th, 1951 in Duluth, Minnesota, joining his big brother, Tom. He went to his heavenly home on October 31, 2022.

In the mid fifties, the family moved to Wheaton, IL to obtain better medical care for Allen. Through the Shriner's and Easter Seal Centers, Allen learned to walk and obtained life skills. His parents spent their lives helping Allen be all he could be.

In 1991, he came to live with Tom & Ruth at JAARS in Waxhaw, NC. During the 10 years there, Allen volunteered many hours helping at JAARS. One of his biggest joys was being head usher at our church. They never had such dependable ushers!!

In 2006, Allen moved to Solway, MN to the home of Judy & Leo Hofmeister where he was lovingly cared for several years. From the time Allen moved to Havenwood, he was always wanting jobs to do...helping in the library, sorting cards, and most importantly, helping Pastor Terry for church services and Bible studies. Allen never met a stranger and if he promised to pray for you, he did!

Allen was preceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Tom (Ruth) of Bemidji; his niece, Becky Eastling of North Carolina and his nephew, Brian (Becky) Eastling of Bemidji, 3 great nephews (Teddy, Chris and Ben) and one great niece (Rachel) of Bemidji.

He will be missed by numerous friends and staff from Havenwood.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be November 19th at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth, MN.
