About Aliza

It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Aliza Jeanne Valentine. She brought so much love and joy in our lives and to those around her with her sparkling eyes, lovely smile and delightful laugh. Aliza will always be remembered for her kindness toward others. She always seemed to look out after others, often putting them before herself.

Despite her gift of bringing love to people, deep inside she was suffering in the darkness, privately battling a deep inexplicable pain. She succumbed to the silent illness of depression and took her own life on August 21st in her Minneapolis home. We know that she is now without physical or mental pain and is with the spirit in the sky watching over all of us.

Aliza was born to mom, Terese (Klinkhammer) Valentine, and dad, Brian Valentine, on August 11, 2005. Along came younger brother, Rocco Valentine, in March 2008. Aliza enjoyed cooking and baking; journaling; crafting with watercolor, Ohuhu markers, origami, and fabric (making pillows and quilts); tubing, deer hunting; sturgeon fishing; the MN state fair; booya, dogs & cats with Foxx being the love of her life, and so much more.

Her mom Terese, brother Rocco Valentine, grandparents Mike & Laurie (Pederson-Fesender) Klinkhammer, uncle John Klinkhammer & Jennifer Kostroski, cousin Madelyn Klinkhammer, and great uncle Guy Fesender & Nancy Suber, survive her. She was preceded in death by great grandparents Eugene Klinkhammer, Rita (Jerikovsky) Klinkhammer, Patricia (Kotten) Fesender, and Alvin Pederson.

Her dad Brian, brother Luke (Valentine) Cunnien, grandparents Timothy Valentine & Deb Seiberlich, aunt Angie (Valentine) Wood, cousin Autumn Sullivan-Valentine, uncle Dave & Kristin (Otteson) Valentine, and numerous other uncles, aunts and cousins survive her. She was preceded in death by aunt Brianna Valentine.
