Adam Alexander Green
May 21, 1998 – February 11, 2025
In Loving Memory...
On February 11th, 2025, at 3:33PM Adam Alexander Green (also known as Sasha Shishka), passed away in Salem, Oregon. His sudden passing was shortly after admittance to the hospital due to complications identified as related to AIDS. In his 26 years, Adam approached life with warmth, generosity, and a spirit that touched everyone who knew him. That spirit will forever live on.
Born on May 21st, 1998 in Salem, Massachusetts at 3:33PM, Adam was a free-spirit and impassioned artist of many mediums. Since he was little, Adam saw the beauty of life in everything and everyone. He sought adventure and meaning every day of his life-- taking every chance to live in the moment. His happiness was seeing others be happy and he would do anything in his power to bring joy to another or be their shoulder to cry on. Adam made friends with anyone he could talk to or crack a joke with. His humor and open-minded personality were his way of bearing his soul as a place for others to feel accepted.
Adam's sense of humor was unmatched. In any situation or scenario, he would find a way to add humor to it. His knack for doing impressions (whether exaggerated or on par) could bring a smile to even the most monotonous of crowds. Hanging out with Adam was like watching a stand-up special.
Along with his comedic personality, a big piece of Adam was his love for art. Whatever he was feeling in the moment, he would put his emotions into a somber song or an elaborate drawing. His art was always an expression of how he felt, using his mediums as an outlet to his thoughts about the world. His muses were Kurt Cobain and Salvador Dali; and he was just as unique as his muses.
Adam was a spiritual man in many ways, as he had an all encompassing respect & admiration for every religion. His favorite symbol was also tattooed on his right arm- The Flower of Life. A symbol of unity, harmony, balance & representative of the cycle of creation; Adam was so fond of its meaning because he knew our life was more than what's on the surface, with living on planet Earth. He believed in the existence of past and after lives, and understood that the meaning of his life was to be present in the current moment and live each day with positive intention.
Adam is survived by his parents Valeria & Billy, siblings Anna-Katrina & Maxwell, Aunt and Uncle Volodymyr & Olha, and grandparents Valentyna & Catherine. He is preceded in death and joined to rest with grandparents Anton & Valentyna. A Celebration of Life will be held in Longmont, CO on Sunday March 23rd, 2025, for those that would like to attend. Celebration of Life
March 23, 2025
Left Hand Creek Park 1800 Creekside Dr, Longmont, CO 80504, USA
Please join us in celebrating the life of Adam Alexander Green (Sasha Shishka) at the Left Hand Creek Park in Longmont on Sunday March 23rd at 2PM.
This day marks 40 days since our beloved Adam went to rest—it is a rite in our family’s [Ukranian] culture that the 40th day is the end of the primary mourning period; believed to be the day where the soul starts to transition to the afterlife.
We hope that anyone from Adam’s life that had a special place in their heart for him can join us on this day. We would love to have you and hear the memories you have to share and how his spirit lives on within us.
This event will be family friendly of course so please feel free to bring your little ones (or big ones) :) If weather is crappy this day, we will be hosting at my parents house a block away. The address to their house will be posted if weather requires us to be indoors instead. Plenty of food & drink will be provided. I am also going to get together some trinkets for guests to take home in memorial of Adam.
This will be an alcohol free event— if you need to pre-game before hand, that is your business, but please be respectful once you arrive (and have someone drive you!)
Please reach out to us if you have any questions and we hope to see you there
