About Aaron

Aaron was born to Debra Jean Freeberg and Gary Malcom McCallum on December 22, 1973 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was raised on Abiding Grace Farm along with his two brothers in Mercer County, Kentucky, until Deb's death in 1988 when the three brothers moved with Gary to New Brighton, Minnesota.

Aaron was enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps for 5 years (1991-1996), earning the rank of Corporal and honorably discharged. He served another 3 years in the U.S. National Guard (1996-1999).

Aaron was blessed with a beautiful baby girl in 2006 and took immense joy in raising her. Together they loved Renaissance Fairs, thrift store runs, and epic gaming sessions.

Aaron is survived by his daughter Sofie; long-term partner Becky Becker (Minnesota); father Gary (Colorado), two brothers, Seth (Indiana) and Ben (Minnesota); step sister Jen Lewis (Illinois); two sisters-in-law, Ann (Indiana) and Jodee (Minnesota); brother-in-law Dave (Illinois); niece and nephew, Joselyn and Aiden (Minnesota); and step parents Drew and Sherman Fracher (Kentucky). He was preceded in death by his mother, who we imagine was waiting for him with open arms.

We acknowledge and hold in our thoughts the many, many friends and family who have reached out to share loving memories of Aaron.
