Darvin Leo Lussier, 71, of Guthrie, MN died April 27, 2022 at Sanford Fargo Medical Center.

Darvin was born June 14, 1950 in Red Lake, MN the son of Pat Weis and Margaret Lussier. He graduated from Bemidji High School and Bemidji Vo-Tech. He interned in Duluth and lived and worked there.

He met and later married Linda Schummer in 2001 and they made their home in Guthrie. He worked as a carpenter all of his life.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, campfires and horseshoes. He loved cards, quarters, and beer. He adored his grandkids and loved spending time with them and all his family.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Schummer, 3 children, Michelle (Brian) Marshall, Darrin (Erin) Lussier, and Trevor (Laura) Lussier, 3 step children, Billy (Lyndsey) Durkin, Andy (Dani) Durkin, Matthew (Kayla) Durkin, 16 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Darrell and Eugene “Punky”.

Active casketbearers will be Kevin Marshall, Charlie Reynolds, Jasen Douglas, Donald Croacker, Jr., Nick Lussier, and Kevin Johnson.

Honorary casketbearers will be Chet Tobalaski and Wayne Lussier.

Funeral Services for Darvin

May 4, 2022

Location: Red Lake Center in Red Lake, MN. There will be a visitation from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji and a wake will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Red Lake Center and continue until the time of the service Wednesday. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake, MN.
